Introducing the H.S. ProDigital Pager!

Simply enter the design mode...with the click of a button…and have immediate access to drawing image, text, and fill nodes using any color in the spectrum, change opacity, add drop shadows or strokes, and even apply masks to create special borders and vignettes.
With your images and creativity, a powerful design tool, combined with the Highest Standard in photo finishing…The sky is no longer the limit!

Click this icon to enable the “Pager Options”.

Currently available to all Flush Mount Album Pages, or design your own templates with products from the Pager Layouts category.

Feature Overview

In order to use the “Pager” feature, you must first select a “pager enabled” layout. Only Flush mount album pages, and the layouts listed specifically under the “Pager Layouts” categories can be used at this time. If you try to edit an item that is not “pager enabled” your tools will be grayed out.

Once you have chosen a valid layout, you will then see the Pager icon just above the “Rotate Layout” button.

After clicking this button you will have a few options appear just below your main layout window, and just underneath the thumbnail area.

These are the options that will show up under the main layout window.

This button gives you the ability to save the templates that you create to your computer so that you can easily use them again.

This is the dialog that displays when you click the “Save” option. Simply type in the name that you would like to give your new template and push “Enter” on your keyboard. I would suggest using descriptive terms such as…3 Images, No Border, with Text, etc…

When you click the “Image” button, you are exiting the template design mode, and will only be able to make changes that effect the images you are using within the template…like cropping, rotation, opacity and such. This basically locks the template nodes so they can not be moved.

By clicking the “Edit” button you are entering the template design mode. You will be able to use all of the features available to create your new template…Draw image/text nodes, arrange your layers, choose fill/stroke colors, add backgrounds and much more.

This is the “Draw Image Node” button.  After clicking it you can draw on the template you have selected and create places for multiple images to be printed together on one page. After you have drawn an image node you can then drag and drop your image into that area. You can put as many image nodes as you would like on one page, and modify the appearance through the options provided by other pager tools.

The “T” in this Draw button stands for Text. So you will use this tool to draw text nodes(boxes) where you would like to have personalized text appear on your final print. There are choices for color, font, fill, and opacity explained further below.

These two buttons are used for arranging your image nodes when overlapping. The + will be used to bring a node (layer) forward, and the – will send the node backwards.

The two fields shown to the left give very specific layout information for your x and y axis coordinates. The left box shows the current position of your cursor, and the right box will give a description of location and size for a selected node.

The tools shown below appear beneath the thumbnails in your main window.

The “Grid” button will give you the option to “Snap” your node lines to a predetermined grid spacing. First you will choose the spacing that works best for you by typing in the number, or fraction, in inches that you would like the grid lines to be spaced apart.

The “Stroke” button will give you options (shown below) for Color, Opacity, and width of a stroke (or line) to be placed around the image node. The 3 views shown below are different ways to pick your color. To apply a stroke to a selected node, just click the stroke check box and choose the options that look best for your layout.

The “Fill” option will give you the ability to choose a color that will cover, or fill, any node (text or image) that is available. The same color choices as above will be available, as well as opacity. To apply a Fill to a selected node, just click the Fill check box and choose the options that look best for your layout.

This button will give you the same color choices as above to change the color of your text. Simply click on the color you like best and you should see the change take place within your layout.

The “Opacity” refers to how transparent an image is. The scale for opacity is shown below with 1.0 being the original, 100% full color image, 0.5 would be 50% transparent and so on. Slide the bar to achieve the desired effect.

The “Shadow” button will display the options shown below to give you a custom drop shadow underneath your image node. Shadow Blur refers to the mount of diffusion within the shadow area. The less blur, the sharper the shadow…and with more blur the shadow becomes less pronounced. Shadow Opacity will effect the transparency of the shadow. Shadow X and Y will work together to offset the shadow to the side of the node.

Both the “Background” and “Mask” buttons will open up a browser window for you to select a file stored on your computer (shown below). The background will be used for selecting an image to be set behind all other nodes. A mask file is one that can be used to change the appearance of an image within a selected node. Masks can be applied to add vignettes, create shapes, produce rough edges, and much more.

The “Node” button consists of options that we have created to give you even more design elements with your templates. This area will continue to grow…and currently consists of Color Effects, Masks, and Font Choices. To use these options, select the node that you wish to change and click the circle next to the desired effect.
